When I was in college, I had a friend named S. Because home was far away from college, I sometimes visited her home. Eventually we became good friends. I did not realise my other friends did not like that. One day, my other friend, let me give her a name too, L, started telling me things about S.
It started with little things first and slowly I began to take notice. My mind started to see things the way L wanted. One day I picked a fight with S and ended the friendship. But S questioned me on several issues that got me thinking.
I put on my thinking cap and it took me awhile to realise the sweet poison concept. Sweet poison is when someone close to us gives us information to benefit themselves. Sweet poison makes us see things we would otherwise not see. Sweet poison is sweet because it comes from those we care about, but it is poison because it harms us. Have you been hit by sweet poison?

Thank you for sharing that. It is true that friends can get manipulative!
