Liquid Stages of Life
From a wide perspective, life seems almost like a comedy. Is our existence of life as simple as the picture, yet with a deep profound meaning.

Sweet Faced Criminals

I believe that the purpose of human beings is to take care of each other, to nurture each other and complement each other. But not everyone is able to do that properly, thus each one of us are surrounded by a group of people who aid us in our development and sometimes under-development.

Instead we destroy each other, each trying to survive from the other. We form excuses and ideas to justify our action, so that we don’t feel guilty when we hurt the other person. Each one is an individual and yet we are so connected. We work on the individuality to set us apart from others; in return we learn to become better at one thing or another. We work hard at harnessing it to its full potential so that we are admired by our colleague and family members. During that time when we are busy harnessing that, we loose some things along the way. We cultivate a culture of nonchalance; using God as our ally.

When often try to acquire too much without understanding or comprehending it, we tend to break rules of nature. By breaking these rules, we start stumbling. This is when we make the silliest of mistakes, so unmatched to our standing or status. Due to our mistakes we may affect others who are innocent or naïve, and change their lives. This is a crime so unseen and unprotected. We become sweet faced criminals, worst form of terrorism to mankind!

Boundary

I am sitting in a plane, traveling across the globe in a 25 hour journey. As I am waiting for the journey to start, I wait in anticipation who is the person I would be sitting with. It is like fate that that person shares everything you do with you…eat with you, sleep with you (lol..sounds weird!) and share that little space with you. If you are sitting in the middle then you have 2 people, one on your left and one on your right.

The boundary set by the airlines, the limited space, the type of food served, the timings of the food, and the usage of the small and compact bathroom is so carefully crafted and determined for us. We have no say in anything, except perhaps the seating arrangements, provided we did early booking of the ticket. We must at that point conform to the guidelines set by the airlines if we were to reach that destination we journey on.

Isn’t life like this? Aren’t we too on a journey? We live in boundaries set for us. Then we try to expand our boundaries. In the process we experience joy and sorrow, and we move on. Don’t the people we anticipate and sit next to us on the plane similar to the relationships we foster in this lifetime. Some great mathematician up there uses an algorithm that mathematically bounds us to those around us for a purpose. Isn’t life simply fascinating!
